Pegg also recounts his voyage of cinematic discovery as a student of film studies at Bristol University, his first experience of film theory later informing the films he would go on to make. He tells of the excitement of owning his first VHS after his family purchased a video player in 1983 and later becoming a horror-film nerd after receiving an “encyclopaedia of horror” for a Christmas present. “There were so many more I could have added,” he says, before starting to debate a few of his choices.ĭescribing his favourite films, Pegg describes his early cinema going days at Gloucester’s ABC cinema as a child. “Course’ it was!” he laughs, loudly, when I ask him if this was a film geeks nightmare, narrowing a lifetime love of film to a mere thirteen choices. In between eating lunch, talking about his projects and drinking tea, Pegg’s encyclopaedic film knowledge becomes swiftly apparent as he talks me through his thirteen favourite films.
SIMON SAYS VIDEO FOR ANGLES TV
As soon as our interview concludes, he’s off to finish writing the pilot of his new TV sitcom, Truth Seekers, in a room just across from where we’re sitting. And if that wasn’t enough, he was also working on a new project with Nick Frost and their joint new production company, Stolen Picture.Īfter just a few minutes of chatting and hearing details of his upcoming projects, it’s safe to say that Pegg is firmly in the middle of a breathless work hurricane in one of the busiest years of his career. He was already well into promoting Terminal, a film noir thriller where which he starred alongside Oscar nominee Margot Robbie. It’s just a few weeks after the filming of the upcoming Mission: Impossible 6 has ended and a few weeks before the premiere of Ready Play One was due to air in LA. Have an amazing crafty weekend, friends! 🙂 Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop: To celebrate Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 gift certificate to EVERY stop on the hop!! 🙂 Leave your comments before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, January 14th and the winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp blog next week! I recently received the Gemini Jr and I used it for this card…holy moly, that thing is AMAZING! I am so excited to not be hand-cranking my dies through anymore…I’ll definitely share more about it soon! I die-cut each twice and layered them together with glossy accents. Then I adhered the sentiments to the card panels and finished the cards with a few black crystals! I’m a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to lining up dies and stuff so purposefully tilting a die takes away the need to make it perfect! 😉 I die-cut the sentiments using the Hello Gorgeous and Happy Birthday dies and black cardstock. Then I die-cut the Cosmo Flower frame die from white cardstock but made sure to tilt the die at an angle for a different look.

(You can see what I did with the leftover scrap here)! 😉

I picked out my favorite areas of the panel and trimmed them down to 4 inch squares. Good morning! I’m excited to be hopping along with Simon Says Stamp to celebrate the Friends release! The release went live last month but we’re continuing the celebration with even more inspiration! 🙂Īs you probably know I’m a bit obsessed with my alcohol inks these days and I decided to pair some of the new SSS dies with a simple alcohol inked background! I started by mixing alcohol ink blending solution with alcohol inks in wild plum, raspberry, purple twilight, flamingo, and watermelon! I let the blending solution and alcohol ink mix pretty organically and left the sharp contrasts and edges where the colors met.
